AMVIA tools
Practical tools for taking your artwork from a digital original to a print layout.
Native macOS preview
amvia print studio
Prepare large artworks and arrange them together on roll canvas.
-
Large original images
Import high-resolution artwork, including 18K images, and retain the source pixel dimensions for PDF output.
-
Several works, one roll
Set the roll width, move artworks and fill available gaps. The layout tightens unused space at the bottom.
-
Proportions stay intact
Choose the nearest proportional size with both dimensions in quarter-inch steps, and rotate by 90°. Incompatible ratios are flagged.
-
A consistent white border
Each artwork has 2.5 inches on every side, with a dashed manual trim line at the outer edge. Use originals without a pre-added border.
-
Local presets and ICC controls
Keep paper, size, ICC and quality choices in local print presets. Colour settings still require a physical proof.
Install and get started
-
Open the DMG and drag the logo
Open the downloaded DMG, then drag the AMVIA app icon into Applications.
-
Open it from Applications
Launch the installed app from Applications. If macOS blocks this unnotarized preview, leave its protections enabled.
-
Bring your original artwork
Import an image without a pre-added white border, enter the width of your loaded material, and review the artwork sizes and layout in inches.
-
Review the existing print setup
Use your existing macOS and Canon print workflow. The app does not install a Canon driver. Confirm the printer, material and this job’s settings in the Canon print window.
Printing and cutting
Keep the Cutting setting already disabled on the printer. The app sends no cutter parameters; confirm the final job settings yourself in the Canon print window.
Hardware output, colour accuracy and physical cutting have not completed validation. A screen preview does not verify the printed result, and the app does not resolve printer hardware or driver errors.
